The engineer performs authorised construction, installation and technical work, prepares materials and supports unit infrastructure tasks.

  • Perform assigned engineering, installation or repair work.
  • Prepare tools, materials, measurements and the workplace.
  • Follow drawings, work cards and occupational-safety rules.
  • Record materials used and report technical risks.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Practical technical thinking and confidence with tools.
  • Attention to dimensions, fixings, loads and safety.
  • Readiness to work in a team and follow an agreed plan.
  • Physical readiness for engineering work.
  • Responsible care of materials and tools.

AN ADVANTAGE

USEFUL EXPERIENCE

  • Construction, engineering or electrical education.
  • Installation, carpentry, fitting, welding or ground-work experience.
  • Ability to read drawings and prepare material lists.
  • Electrical-safety or specialist-tool authorisations.
